To meet the requirements of our customers for compact immunity test systems, our sales partner from Switzerland HAEFELY AG has developed a unique concept: the AXOS 5 and AXOS 8 Compact. These devices integrate multiple test systems in a single device.

To meet the requirements of our customers for compact immunity test systems, our sales partner from Switzerland HAEFELY AG has developed an integrated concept: the AXOS 5 and AXOS 8 Compact. These devices combine several test systems in a single device.

As a compact test system for burst, surge, dips/interrupts and magnetic field tests, the AXOS 5 includes several stand-alone test systems in a single economical solution. The test system enables EMC tests according to:

- IEC / EN 61000-4-4 with5 kV EFT/Burst
- IEC / EN 61000-4-5, 5 kV Surge Combination Wave
- IEC / EN 61000-4-9 (with MSURGE-A)
- IEC / EN 61000-4-11 / -29 (with DIP 116 / with DC source)

Extensive accessories, e.g. the single-phase transformer (DIP 116) simulate power supply failures in the form of voltage interruptions, according to IEC/EN 61000-4-11 and -29. In combination with the induction coil (MSurge-A), extensive magnetic field tests can also be performed. The AXOS 5 also includes an integrated single-phase coupling/decoupling network with 16 A.

The test system can be operated either via a touch screen or via optional software using a PC. The simple menu navigation, predefined tests and automatic generation of test reports including test parameters enable efficient testing, even for less experienced users.

Numerous interfaces enable additional functions such as external start/stop functions. This allows easy integration of the test system into customer-specific test environments. For user safety and reliable operation, a test system safety interlock, warning lamp and emergency stop switch have been implemented.

In addition, the AXOS 8 is available for even more extensive tests, supplementing the AXOS 5 with additional functions such as Ring Wave, Telekom Wavewith separate TW8 module and Surge up to 7 kV:

- IEC / EN 61000-4-4 with 5 kV EFT/Burst
- IEC / EN 61000-4-5, 5 kV Surge Combination Wave
- IEC / EN 61000-4-9 (with MSURGE-A)

All test parameters can be varied in a range far beyond the requirements of the standards. Together with the ability to change the test parameters during the test, AXOS 5 and AXOS 8 are ideal products for compliance and pre-compliance testing as well as for monitoring and debugging functions during the development phase. A wide range of cost-effective and user-friendly coupling/decoupling networks for power lines as well as for balanced and unbalanced data and signal lines are optionally available.

This allows fast and complete automated testing according to the most common IEC, EN, ANSI, IEEE and UL standards.
